Pearls of the Archipelago

Celebrating the pinnacle of Filipino craft, Jewelmer and Hapag recently partnered for Pearls of the Archipelago, a one-night-only, immersive dining experience held on March 19, 2026.

Guests and friends of the Maison were welcomed to experience how culture and innovation came together at the table. Each course was inspired by a Jewelmer collection, translating the beauty and artistry of the South Sea pearl into an immersive culinary journey.

Jewelmer has long championed the best of the Philippines through its national gem, the South Sea pearl. In the same spirit, Hapag, one of the first Filipino Michelin-starred restaurants, showcases Philippine excellence on the global stage.

Behind every precious gem is precision and passion, qualities mirrored in the hands of Hapag chefs John Kevin Navoa and Thirdy Dolatre, with the support of Ricky and Bubu Andres. Shaped by their expertise, courses honored the spirit of Jewelmer’s collections through thoughtful explorations of local ingredients and Filipino ingenuity.

Chef Thirdy Dolatre shared, “We're very excited for this collaboration because Hapag and Jewelmer have a shared philosophy where just like the pearl, food takes time, patience, and a lot of care.” Echoing this sentiment, Chef John Kevin Navoa shared, “The whole idea of a pearl is somehow what happened to the restaurant as well. A lot of grit, a lot of hard work, a lot of patience, a lot of prayers.”

Guests also enjoyed an intimate showcase of fine jewelry creations, accompanied by live music from the Jewelmer Jazz Band. Between courses, Jewelmer’s muses appeared in golden South Sea pearl creations, surprising and delighting the room.

The inaugural Pearls of the Archipelago dinner marked the beginning of an exciting tribute to Filipino artistry. Stay tuned as the pearl and the plate continue to come together in extraordinary ways.
